I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
